Dj Barrington Hails from Hitchin in Hertfordshire, he is a Drum and Bass legend always pushing the ever changing sounds of Jungle and Drum n Bass in his own unique direction. First taking to the wheels of steel spinning his beloved Hip-Hop, influenced by the likes of Public Enemy and Eric B and Rakim amongst other pioneers from the world of Hip-Hop across the water. In the late 1980′s he was bitten by the rave bug that was taking the UK by storm and started playing at local venues such as Luton Grid (where he first met a very young MC Five Alive) and Hitchins Jungle Warfare.
Fabio and Grooverider amongst others made a mark on a young Barrington and during the early nineties he had a regular slot on pirate radio station Perception FM, also working in local Drum and Bass vinyl emporium Parliament Records (later to become Nookies shop Daddy Armshouse ) until it closed in the late nineties.
He went on to hook up with Pete Edwards to form the drum and bass institution Warning in Cambridge in 1995 and worked tirelessly for the next five years turning it into one of the biggest drum and bass brands in the UK, if not the world, still hosting sell out events at Cambridge venue The Junction.
Starting out in a little bassment club in Cambridge, Warning has gone on to tour countries such as Spain, Holland, Germany and France and is undoubtedly his greatest achievement to date. Barrington has continued his love for the scene playing at events all over Europe and the UK including Innovation, Random Concept, Raindance, Fantazia, Pure Science and One Nation to name a few and he shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. Barrington can be booked solo or as part of a dynamic partnership with Mc Five Alive, a combination guaranteed to steal the show.
