Dj Energy made his live Dj debut in November 1991 for Equinox at Stafford University alongside some of the rave scenes prominent names such as Rap, Dj SS & Orpee. He found himself captivated by the crowds reaction to his performance and felt immediately at home on the wheels of steel.

This all came soon after starting out on pirate radio stations such as Fantasy fm & Dance 100. Riding on the success of the Equinox gig Michael got regular plays at gigs such as the infamous Quest in Wolverhamptom, Total Kaos in Leicester, Mind Blown and the legendary Pandemonium.

DJ Energy & StixmanMichael got his big break when he filled in for Dj Sasha at Fantazia’s record breaking “One Step Beyond” at Donington Park in 1992 in front of 30,000 ravers. He then got a residency for Dance Planet, one of the scenes major organisations in the early/mid 90′s. Whilst playing at Dance Planet at the Cornwall Colliseum Mc Stixman took to the mic alongside Michael for the first time together in front of 4000 ravers and immediately the pair clicked, and so the partnership started.

Mc Stixman started out Mc’ing at raves in 1993 with his first sessions on the mic coming at dance mecca Club Kinetic in Stoke on Trent. Previously being involved with reggae sound systems in the 80′s this was a new and exciting avenue for him, showing his versatility as an Mc by flipping from reggae sound systems to Hardcore and Jungle with ease.
He became a firm favourite at major events such as Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, United Dance, Dance Planet and Euphoria scross the sea in Germany.

Stixman was also a co host on Midlands radio show “Roll The Beats” which had guest artists such as Dougal, Pilgrim, Ratty & Dj Energy himself back in 1995/96 in the Birmingham area.

He has also performed in front of 20,000 revellers at the monumental Dreamscape 20, a huge outdoor production back in 1995.
After both having breaks from the scene they once again teamed up in 2007 and now get regular plays at huge events such as Fantazia (Where they are both residents and firm favourites), Flashback, Cloud 9, Muzik Hertz and Gamma Funkula to name just a few.

Two of scenes easiest going characters that create positive vibes with a smile on their faces, truly loving what they do.
