Need we say more other than – DJ Vibes, the Hardcore Legend that has graced every town in England and represented the UK scene in almost every country in the world.
Everybody who has ever been rocked in a rave has at one time been charged from the uplifting power of Vibes’s music and personality.
Twenty two years later, 2000+ club hours and over 75 quality vinyl releases later Vibes can surely say he has been there but can also say he is still there. Flying the flag for Essex, England since 1991 it has been a fantastic journey from writing and releasing numerous rave anthems since such as SING IT LOUD, FEEL FREE, RAVERS CHOICE, SWEET LOVE and remixing major league slammers such as SO IN LOVE, ABOVE THE CLOUDS, SMD and TECHNO WONDERLAND.
Vibes has worked with names in the industry that need no introduction – Wishdokta, Slipmatt, Dougal, Seduction and Hattrixx (with whom he has produced 12 new tracks which can be heard on www.djvibes.net).
Without forgetting his long time friend MC Junior.
Without question a MASSIVE part of Vibes’s success throughout the last 20 years has been the amazing partnership with MC Livelee, the Essex duo who met at Roller Express, London and immediately forged a brilliant friendship on and off the decks.
Djing is Vibes’s first love, having headlined at all the top events over the last 20 years, he knows what the crowd wants and what they need. He has been round the block, in fact he carried the bricks, mixed the cement and built the block.
Vibes has done hundreds of hours of radio work as well as hundreds hours of motorway madness driving all round the country to various clubs. He has done many shows on Kiss FM (London), a regular show on Eruption FM, London’s No.1 Hardcore and Old Skool station and a Bi-monthly show on Time FM, East London and Essex’s premiere dance station (the Wednesday night Hall of Fame). Vibes really is on the scene.
It is not just music that fuels Vibes’s love of life, there is also football and swimming, in fact it would sometimes be easier to swim to some events with the state of the M1 motorway.
With all his experience Vibes is now playing a massive range of floor fillers, amazing hard and heavy Hardcore with his personal uplifting vocals thrown in to the best Old Skool sets possible from any genre 1991-1999, whatever you can handle. Vibes can even play a whole 2 hour set of his own productions, New Skool or classics (with no fillers) – versatile or what.
The last 22 years really has been a magical journey with loads more adventures planned for the big 25th.
Don’t forget Vibes has just released a double CD, ‘I Love Happy Hardcore/20 Years of Vibes’, with 24 of his own tracks charting the journey. Available from: www.musicmondays.co.uk
Love and respect, Vibesy
